Cool Tool Alert - Hundreds of Graphic Images for Your Sales Pages

I love a great deal and I was just turned on to one -- a suite of graphic images you can use on your sales pages, web sites, powerpoints, landing pages -- for only $10.95.

I'm not a graphic designer by any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes I need images for my sales pages. A well designed call to action button can encourage more sales. A stylish check mark for your bullet points can turn a boring sales page into a credible tool to sell your product.

It can cost a fortune to have a designer create custom "buy now" or guarantee badges or cool check marks and arrows for your sales pages.

This package - the Marketing Graphics Toolkit - has hundreds of options and multiple color versions of every button and badge. For some of the images you will need Photoshop to manipulate them, but at least half are jpg or png files you can simply upload to your pages. For the images that require customization, give the files to your designer and that will save you time and money since she won't have to recreate the wheel (that's what I'm going to do!).

I realize this is a salesy blog post, but the package is a great deal and these kinds of graphic images are important for your business. I feel like it's my obligation to let you know about hot deals on tools you can use to do business better. Obviously you'll make up your own mind. But seriously, even if you use just a few of the images, you'll have made your investment back and then some. That's why I jumped on it and encourage you to at least check out what you get and see if you can use any of the graphic images for your websites.*

I've looked at other graphics packages in the past, but this one has the most variety and best range of color and styles.

How to Stay on Top of All Your Social Media Activity?

Yesterday on Social Media Examiner, there was a post that shared "22 Hot New Social Media Tools Worth Exploring."

While I know about and use many of the tools mentioned, one of them jumped out at me, recommended by Mari Smith -- TwentyFeet.com -- a site where you can aggregate many of your social media accounts and get a snap shot of your activity and how you're doing in terms of the key metrics for each site.

Cool Tool - How to Extract the Audio Track from Your Videos

Do you ever wish you could get a separate audio file from your videos? I did and thanks to Michael Stelzner, founder of Social Media Examiner, I found that (free) tool.

Why would you want an audio file when you've got a video?

There are two reasons why I do and you may have others.

1. Having a separate audio file enables you to distribute your content in two ways: as an audio AND a video. If you publish a podcast, why not extract the audio from your videos so you can share the content with your podcast audience? You extend your reach to a new audience who may not know about your videos. And why not offer an audio-only version of your video posts? [More on repurposing your content here.]

Dropbox - Cool (free) Tool for Sharing Files

If you have to send video  or audio files to colleagues, clients, vendors or a virutal assistant, you know it can be a pain. It can be slow and if the file is real big, it can cost you a few bucks. Enter Dropbox.

When  I discovered Dropbox a few months ago, I stopped using other file sharing sites.

When I do a video blog review with a client, the file that's generated is HUGE. I would have to pay to send it via YouSendIt. With Dropbox, I don't as long as my free account has not exceeded 2GB.

When you set up an account online, you are encouraged to also download a desktop app on all your computers. I have it installed on a desktop and a netbook so I can manage large file transfers anywhere.

Drag your file to the Dropbox folder on your computer and it automatically syncs with your online account. Next, you can share a specific folder with your client so they can access and download the file. They only get access to the folder you specify; they have no access to any other files in your account.

Essentially you upload to Drobox and your client downloads from Dropbox. Most email systems do not support sending large files so this is a fast, easy work-around.

Once the recipient has downloaded the file, you can delete it from your account.

Here are a few ways to use Dropbox:

• Send a video greeting to a new client
• Use a folder to exchange files with you blog & graphic designers or jv partners
• Send your video and audio files to your VA so they do the distribution for you
• Send your large powerpoint files to event managers for your speaking gigs
• Upload files you may need when you're traveling so you can access them from your laptop or netbook. You don't have to transfer to a thumb drive and then remember to take the drive with you!
• Send weekly video lessons to your clients (you can give folder access to multiple people

Your files are automatically backed up so if anything happens to your computer, any files you've uploaded to Dropbox are safe.

It's an easy, seemless system and I haven't had any problems with the connection timing out or it taking 10 hours to upload a file. All in all a great solution for sharing large files of all types. Set up a free Dropbox account and let me know what you think.
