A couple of days ago I mentioned that I had been challenged to share the top three "Show Me the Money" ideas I learned at my retreat with Tom Antion. I've been thinking about this a great deal and will go into each in more detail in a separate post.
In brief, they are:
- A highly targeted, niche-specific article directory site designed primarily to earn passive revenue from ads, affiliate programs and related products. I've been working on this all last week and finally have something to show: DietArticles.info. I was assisted in setting this site up by Ilya Pozin, Tom Antion's top "propeller head."
- Selling on eBay. I've written about this before and I was reminded again, several times, how lucrative this can be. On the flight out to Virginia, I listened to a telesminar hosted by Tom with Adam Ginsberg who has made millions selling on eBay. I was astonished by the possibilities. More on this later.
- Learning how to write a really effective sales letter. We worked on our sales letters during the entire 3 day retreat. A little bit each day, all day long with feedback throughout until it was complete. The fruit of the Blog Squad's labor will be revealed in a couple of months with a new program. Tom has literally thousands of books on every aspect of marketing and selling. In writing our sales letters, two that I frequently referred to were two I had recently purchased: The Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan Kennedy and Words that Sell by Richard Bayan. They now live next to my desk and provide me with inspiration I need for my email and web marketing missives.
