One of the things I find so interesting about Tom Antion's approach to making money on the Internet, is that he's not limited by what may perceived as his core business: public speaking. His primary goal is to use the Internet to make lots of money. And he does. Everything he does is legitimate. He doesn't use black hat tactics.
Last night Tom presented a teleseminar on Internet Revenue Streams and listed at least a dozen different ways to create income on the Internet. I have to open my thinking to creating various ways to attract ongoing revenue without a lot of work, where I continue to get "paid, paid, paid, paid and paid some more" even if the sources are not directly related to blogging or Internet marketing consulting.
Tom directed us to an Internet dating site where you can create your own partner website, drive traffic to it and access their network of millions of members. It's free to set up, membership is free and if a member upgrades to their Premium service you earn 55%.
What does this mean for you?
Well, as you know, my business has nothing to do with online dating, however, there's nothing stopping me from making money from this amazingly huge trend. I did a keyword search through the Yahoo keyword selector tool on the word "dating" and there were 1,382,665 searches done on that word in May 2006. There were 1,781,336 searches done on key phrase "dating services". That's a lot of people lookin' for love; why not cash in on it?
If you're a relationship coach, wedding planner, have a blog or website that relates to love, marriage, divorce, romance, weddings, singles, etc. This would be a perfect complementary site for you. It's free to join, free to set up. The only thing you need to do is register a domain name for your site ($9) and they guide you through the rest. I did it in about 20 minutes.
Check out my dating services site at Meet Your Perfect Match. Sign up for your own dating site by clicking on the link at the bottom that says "Partners and Affiliates."
