Adam Urbanski Hits a Knock Out at Info Profit Success

This past Thursday through Saturday, Patsi and I attended Adam Urbanski's Info Profit Success seminar as his guests. We were invited to do a quick presentation on business blogging which seemed to be well-received. But that's besides the point.

Adam Urbanski of The Marketing Mentors, over delivers. And that's a good thing. We can be kind of cocky, think we know it all since we've been marketing on the Web for over a decade. But, over the three days we identified a few gaps in our business model and were inspired with some new ideas as a result of Adam's masterful teaching. Here's a quick video of Adam after the event concluded. I can't believe he agreed to talk to us after 3 days of non-stop talking!

Patsi had a few nice things to say about Adam too!

Personality Not Included: Interview with Rohit Bhargava

Pni_interviewseries Last week Rohit Bhargava put out the offer to do blog interviews about his new book, Personality Not Included which is being launched today. Naturally, I took up the challenge.  You can also see who else is hosting interviews and get a fantasic overview of Rohit's new book and how it came about. Following are my questions and Rohit Bhargava's responses:

Our clients are primarily service professionals, consultants, speakers and coaches. How do the tactics in your book apply to a solo professional or micro business vs. a larger company?

A very timely question ... actually, I have something in the works which I will release next week which will likely answer this question more completely.  The book is very much tailored towards organizations needing to build their personality and for the individuals within those organizations.  There will be something else available shortly which is focused on the solo professional.

What was the most surprising thing you learned in your research?

The most surprising thing would have to be the access to people that I could get via email.  If I wrote a book 10 years ago, I would get handled by secretaries and have a real tough time getting access to people.  Now, I would just email and could contact anyone worldwide.

Burning Business Questions continued...

We're getting some interesting responses to our request for questions to ask entrepreneurs at  Adam Urbanski's InfoProduct Intensive this week.

Ruthan Brodsky: How do you organize and prioritize what you've recently learned about technology and marketing approaches for your online business?

Bruce Bair: Was there some advice you did not heed early on, that is still valid, that you wish you had done because it would have saved/made you money or saved lots of time getting to the place you are now?

Yvonne DiVita: Where do you get the funds to grow when banks don't want to talk to you, and your family doesn't have money you can borrow? What other resources should (can) entrepreneurs explore, to help grow their business?

Wendy Belancourt: When you were learning about what worked and didn’t work for your business, did you find an easy way to determine which information sources and products would be helpful and which ones were going to be a waste of your time?

Here are some of the questions we came up with:

If you could ask one question...

...what would it be? Let me be more specific: if you could ask an entrepreneur one question about business or marketing, what would you ask?

This week, Thursday through Saturday, we'll be attending Adam Urbanski's InfoProduct Intensive in Newport Beach, CA. Since both Patsi and I have Flip Videos, we're going to do 2 minute interviews with as many of the participants as possible.

We want to know what other entrepreneurs are doing to make their businesses successful.

That's where you come in. If you could ask an entrepreneur one question about business or marketing, what would you ask?

Click the comment link below and let us know your burning question. If we pick your question, we'll send you a gift. Not sure what yet, since I'm making this up as I'm writing, but we promise it will be good!

We have a couple of ideas about what we want to know, but the videos are for you, to give you insights into how others are doing business, on and offline. So, we won't muddy the waters by posting our ideas. We want to hear from you. But you've got to submit your question by Wednesday night because we're out of here early Thursday morning.
