Social Marketing and Social networking don't have to take a lot of time if you do it right. It becomes part of your weekly and even daily routine.
We have developed special tools that our members use to do their posting and their social tagging or social bookmarking. We also have tools that help them do back linking to some extent which is just as important.
If you build a great group of friends, and a great group of the right kind of friends (people that are in your niche) then you will find that it is very easy.
One of our newer members was so excited today after using one of these tools in less than 24 hours she got the top 9 places on Google with her authority site ranking #4. It is about doing the work, and doing it efficiently that makes the difference in what ever you do.

Thanks for the info Michele, I'm definitely going to look into myspace!! Hey, what do you think about Facebook? It seems as competitive as Myspace.

Many of the social networks take a while to set up, but once they are up and running it doesn't take long to update them. I've joined a few over the last few months and some I've not done anything else with other than register and put my profile up. At least my info is out there!

I've heard that social bookmarking doesn't work very well in driving site's traffic. What can you say about this? Is it true?

It just intrigues me because I do social bookmarking task before and I want to make sure I'm spending the right time on a certain link building task.

Great post. There are now thousands of social networks that cater to a whole variety of subjects. These smaller, focused sites allow users to connect with like-minded people and give advertisers targeted demographics. Niche social networks are also good for marketers who have a product or service they want to promote that relates to a particular interest. A good place to find such sites is a search engine that caters specifically to social networks such as http://findasocialnetwork.com
