Online Promotion Tips: Report
Last month I wrote a series of of posts demonstrating how we were using the Internet to promote a 4 week program...The Law of Action. It's time to follow up on those tips to include other methods we used and how it all worked out.
The first class of The Law of Action was on July 1. 94 people registered for the program, generating nearly $18,000 in gross revenue.
How did we do it?
I reported through several posts the initial steps we took:
Online Promotion Tips: How to Get the Word Out
Online Promotion Tips: Go Offline with a TeleSeminar
Online Promotion Tips: Use Facebook
Online Promotion Tips: Use Twitter
Online Promotion Tips: Use a Survey (over 300 people responded to our survey)
Our primary focus was on getting people into the free teleseminar The 5 Internet Marketing Traps that Can Derail Your Business.
In addition to the promo tasks above, we created a series of video tips...
Sample video tip: Internet Marketing Video: Make Money While You Sleep
Patsi and Kathleen created 5 video tips that addressed the 5 Traps we were going to cover in the free teleseminar. Being the technician, I edited the videos and added captions to drive traffic to the registration page for the class.
A week before the program, we posted one video per day on each of our blogs, in order to create massive exposure. The tips were also posted on Facebook, on our video tips blog and distributed to 35 video sharing sites using Traffic Geyser. Every video blog post had info and a link to register for the class.
Next, Kathleen's VA stumbled and dugg all the videos.
We posted announcements in discussion forums, created an event on Facebook, posted an ad on Craigslist and on adpost.com (ad expired so you won't find it).
The bottom line is that nearly 1,000 people registered for the free teleclass. Yahoo!
In my next post, I'll tell you how we used the teleseminar to persuade people to register for our 4 week course.
