12seconds.tv gives you more video visibilty
Unless you've been living in a cave the last year, you know that online video is all the rage. And there's good reason for that...video helps you connect with your prospects, clients and customers faster and build rapport.
When someone can see you in your environment, hear your voice and see your body language, they get much better sense of who you are.
If you're a regular reader, you know I've written a lot about the Flip video and how easy it is to shoot short messages or interviews and then post them to YouTube and on your blog.
This week, I got introduced to 12seconds.tv -- it's like twitter for video, as many folks have pointed out to me.
At Social Media Simplified, a participant was advised to start posting 12 second inspirational videos. That got me thinking that I could post 12 second blogging tips.
You do need a web cam or you can upload videos. You can also set up your account to automatically post a link to your videos to your twitter stream.
The site is in alpha so you have to request an invitation before you can sign up. I received mine in less than 24 hours.
I've posted one video so far and need to get going on my blogging tips!
Why is this important?
- As I stated above, video gives you more visibility and credibility with your prospective clients and customers.
- A 12 second video forces you to be concise and direct.
- You get more visibility to a wider audience and can demonstrate your expertise.
- Your videos and link to your blog or website are on yet another site that directs people back to you.
- It's a quick way to build connection and rapport.
In short, video works. And, the more places people can find you, the more visible you are, the more opportunities you have build your community of raving fans and transform people's lives.
And heck, who doesn't have 12 seconds to create a video!!
