When you're building a platform on the Web with the intention to dominate your niche and become the go-to expert, you must present a consistent visual image. The last thing you want is for your ideal client to get a big disconnect with they follow you from your Facebook page to your LinkedIn profile to your blog. If at all possible you want to create a seamless experience.

You are so right! I try to have a new shot taken every year and use it everywhere. Luckily, if you attend the right seminars, there will be someone there to take it for you! LOL

This is some great information! We are just getting started with our Facebook page, but we are using the same picture of ourselves everywhere, including our promotions to try to get our "brand" to be more recognizable. Thanks for the great article!
