10 Ways to Use Cinchcast to Boost Your Visibility

Are you following me on Cinchcast? For the last few weeks I've been publishing short audio tips on Cinchcast, about boosting your online visibility and business blogging. I also wrote about how to repurpose your content using Cinch.

Audio is a great way to connect with your audience. You can also share audio on more sites outside of your blog which raises your visibility and naturally exposes you to more prospective visitors to your sites. 

It may not be quite as intimate as video, but gets you a lot closer than text. Think about reading this post, for example. You have to make up what you think my voice sounds like or how I'm emphasizing words and phrases. You miss a lot of the nuance. Now, if you could listen to the content, you may have a lot deeper connection and perhaps a better retention of the content.

 
That got me to wondering about different ways people are using Cinch for their business. I did a pretty quick scan of some users who are fairly active and came up with a list 7 types of cinchcasts I noticed...

Online Visibility Tip - AudioBoo Puts Ellen Britt Front and Center

How many tactics do you use to get in front of your community, prospects, friends, followers, readers? I frequently talk about using various media to mix up your content and give your audience multiple ways to experience you. With video so hot, audio is often overlooked as a powerful way to connect with your peeps.

I love to experiment with online tools and a few months ago I discovered AudioBoo. I think I saw a Boo posted by Mari Smith on Facebook and checked it out. It's an app you can install on your smart phone to record and post when you're out and about (or from your computer).

My colleague Ellen Britt jumped on the AudioBoo bandwagon recently and is using it in a really creative way. I decided to find out why and how Ellen is using AudioBoo in her online activity.

MobaTalk Adds More Audience Interactivity to Your Site

For sometime now the blogging trend is to add mulitple forms of media to your blog...it's pretty simple to add audio (podcasts, teleseminars, audio postcards) and video to your blog at this point.

Now, you can invite your audience to add their comments to your blog via audio. I just added MobaTalk (also goes my MyChingo) to this blog to try it out and see if anyone will actually take the plunge to contribute audio comments.

The service is not free, but for a meager $3.95 per month (someone's got to pay for the bandwidth), you can easily set up an account, customize the look of the player, and start gathering audio comments on your blog or website.

You can moderate the comments -- choose to approve them before they show up on the public list -- so you don't get caught by surprise of someone posting something inappropriate.

Check out the Audio Comment player on the left column or click on the link below to leave an audio comment. Oh yeah, you have to have a computer microphone in order to submit an audio comment.
