We're very pleased that Christopher Knight of EzineArticles.com and EmailUniverse.com has reviewed our new product All-in-One Ezine Publishing System.

Being biased of course, I'd say his review is balanced and fair.  Check out Chris' review here.

Customized Newsletter Articles Directory Launched

Executive Coaching Article Site Launched by Customized Newsletter Services

Finding articles for use in coaching and consulting newsletters just got easier with the launch this month of www.CustomizedNewsletterArticles.com.

(PRWEB) September 18, 2006 -- If you are an executive coach or business consultant and send out regular newsletters or ezines, you can find articles with full reprint rights through a new article directory called Customized Newsletter Articles.

The article directory site was launched this month by Customized Newsletter Services, an online marketing company that provides complete ezine publication services and content to business professionals.

“We’ve made it easy for professionals who are looking for content to be able to search by category,” said Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D., a psychologist who has been writing executive coaching articles since 1999.

NetAim Training Sessions on Ezines

Are you a member of NetAim - The Internet Association of Information Marketers?  Patsi and I have been invited by Tom Antion to present 3 training sessions on ezines for NetAim members on Thursday, August 31.

NetAim offers monthly training sessions for beginning, intermediate and advanced Internet marketers.

I've been thinking a lot about NetAim because I attended an Internet Marketing Summit last week for the Outer Circle members.  I realized what a phenomenal deal this is...monthly dues are $100.  Not only do you get monthly training, but the opportunity to attend an annual retreat at Tom's retreat center for a full day of training.  There were 5 of us at the event last week which means we set the agenda for what we wanted to go into indepth.

Tom answered every single question each of us had throughout the day; no issue was too small or too dumb.  We spent about half the day on eBay strategies which I'll be focusing on soon (again).  The rest of the day was spent on video strategies.

Tom generally charges $1000 an hour for his time so for $1,200 a year, you get amazing access and training from one of the best, most successful, and definitely most down to earth guys making a living on the Web.

If you would like to attend the sessions tomorrow, you can join NetAim for as little as $15 per month.  If you join, let me know and I'll make sure you get the info to attend the class at your membership level.

Discover How to Avoid the 10 Deadly Newsletter Sins

Are you among the thousands of professionals who have a newsletter that doesn’t get results? ... Do you struggle to get your newsletter out to clients and prospects on time
every month?

Yes? Then maybe you are guilty of committing one or more of the following deadly newsletter sins:

  1. You spend hours surfing the ‘Net, researching for an article, getting ‘screen sucked’ without any apparent value
  2. You format it yourself using your Outlook email program
  3. You try to send it out yourself from your email program
  4. You get business cards of people you meet at events and add them to your subscriber list
  5. You manually add and delete email addresses from your list that you keep in Outlook
  6. You manually send people a welcome message, thanking them for signing up for your ezine
  7. You miss your monthly or weekly ezine deadline and send it out 'whenever you can'
  8. You only send it out whenever you have a new product or service to announce
  9. Your ezine content consists of sales copy, with a clear call to action: buy your product
  10. Your ezine is purely information-based, with interesting articles, but with no reference to your products or services, and no call to action.

Okay, I’m exaggerating here, I’m sure you are more sophisticated than that! But it’s true: email newsletter marketing has gotten more complex in the last few years.

The good news is that there are systems and programs that are user-friendly that can help you understand and simplify your newsletter tasks. Newsletters don’t have to be that difficult or time-consuming, but you do have to learn how to do them correctly or you’ll end up in newsletter hell.

Here’s the formula for how ezines work:

   1. Send an ezine out = get more readers
   2. Let them know who you are, and how much you know = credibility and trust
   3. Tell them about your services and products = increased sales
   4. Send them more information = let them buy more or hire you = MORE MONEY!
   5. Repeat = build your list, attract more, sell more, profit more

=> Better yet, get the All-in-One Ezine Publishing System and learn everything you need to know to create, publish, distribute and grow your ezine list.

Ezine Broadcasting: Should Your Eggs Be All in One Basket?

Joan Stewart, the Publicity Hound, contacted me yesterday when she received the announcement about our teleclass on ezine broadcasting.  We had an interesting email exchange that she's given me permission to share with you.

Joan

Are you going to talk about other alternatives to the shopping
cart, or is this simply a pitch for the shopping cart?

Denise
I don't really consider this a pitch for the shopping cart but a how-to class for those who want to use this system or for those who may be considering this system. We won't be covering other systems because this is the only one we use and recommend to our clients. With the free trial, as you know, there is no obligation for people to pay for it if they choose not to use this system. [It's an excellent way to "try before you buy".]

List Building Tips - Part 2

Smart and Savvy Tip: Top 10 Tips for Building Your Ezine List (Part 2)
(reprinted from Savvy eBiz Tips, Vol. I, Issue 12 June 27, 2006)

We’re always amazed at how successful, busy online professionals usually have time to respond to our questions. I’ve been asking some of the top marketers to contribute their “insider secrets” for growing an ezine list. And I’ve received some wonderful answers.

Even though I was only expecting to get a quick tip, some of the biggest online gurus wrote me comprehensive list building essays! Martin Wales of 1ShoppingCart, provided us with Ttip 5, which I hadn’t thought of before. I immediately changed my voice mail!

Here are 5 more ways to build your list, and to continue growing it.

1. Collect email addresses everywhere you go and ask them for their permission to email. Ask people if you can send them your special report. Then email the report to them, and ask them if they would like to sign up to get the benefits of your ezine. Make it easy for them to opt-in. Explain your opt-in process to them. (“When you get the email request, don’t forget to click on the link to confirm, so that you don’t miss any issues.”)
