By way of SpeakerNet News, I learned about Podlinez, a site that provides a free phone line you can set up to deliver your podcast to listeners on their phone.
Enter your podcast URL and the site will provide a free call-in number, available immediately. Send the number to your clients, friends, fans, etc. and let them know how to listen to your podcasts on the phone. The site provides a button you can include on your podcast homepage, linking users to your phone number of Podlinez. It's an additional way to extend your marketing reach and make your content available in multiple formats - giving your audience more options to get content HOW THEY WANT IT.
Plus, your podcast gets listed in the Podlinez directory giving you exposure to a new audience. Want to listen to Blogging and Beyond by phone? See the button below or call +1 (360) 526-6288.
You've just published your first podcast program. Now, you want to get it out to the world.
You are on your way to doing that already. You've got the program posted on your blog and it's being delivered to iTunes.
There are many, many podcast directories. One of the most comprehensive lists of directories we've found is at Podcastnews.com.Like promoting your blog, you want to submit your podcast to as many directories as you can and that are appropriate for you subject matter.
Many directories will require you to register on their site.Once you do that, you'll need some information handy that you can copy and paste into the appropriate fields.Since you already did this when you set up your podcast for iTunes, you should have your title and description already handy.
A few days ago I wrote a post about how to easily and cheaply record and post audio on your blog or website. I promised to follow up with a post about how to create a podcast with that audio. I confess, I had written most of it when there was a power surge which shut down my computer and I lost everything I had written. Drag. And a good lesson to save often when writing something long. And, yes, I do have a big surge protector but maybe I need a new once since I got no warning to shut down.
Yesterday, on Blogging and Beyond, we talked about podcasting with Debra Simpson of Magic in Words. Debra is passionate about podcasting and shared some great tips about how to use audio not only for podcasts, but also to add "stickiness" to your website.
Podcasting may sound scary if you're not technically inclined, but it can be done "down and dirty" with very little expense or effort. Here's how...
You need two, no four, things. Aside from a telephone and a computer, which I'm assuming you have since you're reading this, you also need an account with AudioAcrobat, and a blog.
Internet Marketing System & Shopping Cart This is the best system, combining a powerful shopping cart with a comprehensive database marketing system. This is the system I use and recommend for my clients.
